What turns up on the rail

The mix leans towards familiar UK high street labels. You will regularly see New Look, Marks & Spencer, Primark, Next, H&M, TU, ROMAN and Oasis, alongside occasional one-offs. Sizes typically span UK 2 to 30, so both petite and plus sizes get a look in, though any given size depends on what has come in that week.

Styles are mostly summer, holiday and casual pieces: day dresses, long sleeve and short sleeve styles, and sleeveless cuts, with plenty of them crossing over into loose, floaty free-spirited pieces. Dresses make up the biggest share, and if that is all you want you can go straight to floral dresses or browse the wider women's dresses rail. Floral blouses and tees sit in women's tops, and printed midis and minis in women's skirts.

Condition is mostly Very good, with a handful of New with tags, a few Good and the odd Fair piece. Every grade is stated on the listing, and Fair items always have the reason spelled out.

What to check on preloved floral pieces

  • Print alignment and fading. Prints on cotton and viscose can lighten with washing, most often at the shoulders and along fold lines. Our photos show the fabric as it is, so compare the depth of colour across the piece.
  • Underarm and neckline areas. Pale floral grounds show marks more than dark ones. We flag any staining in the grading notes.
  • Lining and slip fabric. Many floral summer dresses and skirts are lined. Lining tends to wear faster than the outer fabric, so check the description for notes on snags or thinning.
  • Fastenings. Concealed zips, back buttons and shirred panels all get tested. Shirring loses stretch over time, which changes how a bodice fits.
  • Measurements. High street sizing has shifted over the years, so a size 12 from one label rarely matches another. Ask us for measurements before you buy and we will send them.

How do I know the print looks the same in person?

Every item is photographed in natural light on the actual garment, never a stock image or a mock-up. If you want a closer look at a particular part of the print, ask and we will take an extra photo before you commit.

Do you have floral pieces in plus sizes?

Yes. Sizes across the florals rail typically run from UK 2 to 30, and larger sizes turn up regularly from labels like ROMAN and Marks & Spencer. Stock is one-of-one, so use the size filter to see what is available right now rather than assuming a size will still be there next week.

Will a preloved floral dress fit like a new one in the same size?

Not always, and it is worth being honest about that. Older high street sizing often runs smaller than current sizing, and shirred or elasticated bodices lose some stretch with age, so a size 14 from ten years ago can feel closer to a 12. Ask for measurements before buying so you are not guessing.

How should I wash a preloved floral piece?

Follow the care label where it is still legible, and when it is not, a cool wash inside out is the safer route for printed viscose and cotton. Avoid biological detergents on pale grounds, as they can dull the print over repeated washes.

What does the Very good grade actually mean?

Very good means the piece has been worn but shows no notable flaws: no holes, no staining, no pilling that catches the eye. Most of the florals rail sits in this grade. Anything below it carries a written note explaining exactly what we found.

I cannot see the floral piece I had in mind. What now?
