How we grade condition

Every item at ReTreasure is secondhand, and no two are alike. So before anything is listed, it gets checked by hand: seams, zips, buttons, hems, underarms, and anywhere wear likes to hide.

Then it gets one of five grades.

The five grades

New with tags. Never worn, original tags still attached.

Like new. Worn once or twice at most. No visible wear. If we didn't tell you it was preloved, you wouldn't know.

Very good. Lightly worn and well looked after. Any signs of wear are minor and noted in the listing.

Good. Worn and loved, with some visible signs of use, described honestly and shown in the photos. Plenty of life left.

Fair. Clearly worn, priced accordingly. Only listed when the piece is still genuinely wearable or worth having, and every flaw is spelled out.

What sits underneath every grade

The photos are always of the actual item. We never use stock images, so what you see, marks and all, is what arrives.

If there is a flaw, it is in the listing. A pulled thread, a faded patch, a missing belt: written down, not hidden.

Sizes are as stated on the garment label. Vintage and older pieces often run small, so measurements are available on request before you buy. Just ask.

If something arrives faulty or not matching its grade, contact us within 30 days and we will make it right, including postage both ways.
