Sizes typically run from UK 2 to UK 30, so there is usually something across the range. When a piece sells, that is it gone, which is the honest trade-off of buying preloved.

What turns up on the rail

The mix leans towards high street names people actually wear. Primark, Shein and Shein Curve, Marks & Spencer, New Look, Next, H&M and Zara all appear regularly, alongside plenty of smaller labels. Prints are a big part of it: floral is the most common by a distance, followed by abstract, animal print, stripes and check. If prints are your thing, the florals collection pulls those pieces together in one place.

  • Tops cover short sleeve, long sleeve and everything between.
  • The holiday shop gathers summer and travel pieces when you need them.

Most of what we list is graded Very good, with a smaller number of New with tags, Like new and Good pieces. Sizing spans UK 2 to 30, though the spread shifts week to week as items sell.

What to check before you buy

Because this collection covers everything, the checks vary by garment. A few things are worth looking at on any preloved piece:

  • Measurements over labels. A size 12 from one brand is not a size 12 from another, and older stock often runs smaller. Ask us for flat measurements before you commit.
  • Stretch and recovery. On jersey tops, leggings and bodycon dresses, look at the photos of cuffs, waistbands and knees for any bagging.
  • Fastenings. Zips, hook-and-eye closures and buttons take the most wear. We check them, and we say so in the description if anything is not perfect.
  • Print alignment and bobbling. Dark knits and cotton jersey show pilling first under the arms and along the sides.
  • The grade note. Good and Fair items are listed for a reason and the reason is written down. Read it rather than guessing.

Why buy clothing preloved

Clothing is the category where secondhand makes the most obvious sense. Garments are made in huge numbers, worn a handful of times and passed on while still perfectly good, so buying preloved keeps them out of the waste stream and out of landfill. You also get things the shops no longer stock: last season's prints, discontinued cuts, brands that have changed their fit. And because each item here is one of one, you are unlikely to see yourself coming back at you across a room. Every piece is photographed on the actual garment, so you know what is arriving. Orders go out within 2 working days on tracked UK delivery, standard delivery is free over £50, and you have 14 days to return anything for any reason.

Common questions

How does the five-step condition grading work?

New with tags means unworn with the original tags still on. Like new, Very good, Good and Fair then describe increasing amounts of wear, and any flaw we find is written into the description and shown in a photo. We grade after the item has been washed or steamed, so you are seeing it at its best rather than as it arrived.

Will the size on the label match my usual size?

Not always, and it is worth being honest about that. Sizing varies a lot between the brands we carry, and older or vintage-cut pieces often come up a size smaller than a modern equivalent. Message us for the flat measurements of any item before buying, and we will send chest, waist, hip and length taken with the garment laid flat.

Can I buy several items together?

Yes, everything in the shop ships together in one parcel, so combining pieces saves on postage. Reaching £50 in the same order gets you free standard delivery. Do check each item's grade separately though, as pieces in one order can sit at different points on the scale.

How often do you add new pieces?

New listings go up most days, in small batches rather than big seasonal drops. Sizes and prints move around constantly because each item is one of one, so a rail that looks light on your size one week often looks different the next. It is worth checking back rather than waiting for a sale.

What if something arrives and it is not right?

You have 14 days to return anything for any reason, and 30 days if an item turns out to be faulty or not as described. We include the return details in the parcel. If it is a fit issue, tell us what did not work and we can flag closer matches when they come in.

I cannot see what I am after. Can you look out for it?

Send us a note through the contact form with the item, size and colour you want. We add pieces most days and we keep a list of requests, so we will get in touch if something close comes through. It costs nothing and there is no obligation to buy.
