Collection: Zara

Preloved Zara at ReTreasure is a mixed rail, which is exactly what you would expect from a brand that changes its shop floor every few weeks. Expect tops, t-shirts, trousers and jeans, with knitwear turning up regularly too. Sizes typically run from UK 4 to 22, and most pieces here are graded Very good, with the occasional item still carrying its tags.

Buying preloved Zara

What turns up on the rail

Zara covers a lot of ground, so the secondhand rail does too. The bulk of what we take in sits in women's tops and t-shirts, with plenty of trousers and jeans alongside them. Knitwear appears often, including cowl neck styles.

  • Patterns: abstract prints and stripes come through most regularly, with plain colours filling out the rest.
  • Styles: casual daywear, cropped cuts, crop tops, short sleeve summer pieces and softer knits.
  • Sizes: typically UK 4 to 22, though the middle of that range is where most stock sits.
  • Condition: mostly Very good, with the odd Good piece and sometimes New with tags.

Because Zara ranges rotate so quickly, no two intakes look the same. If you like a particular cut, it is worth checking the wider women's clothing rail as well.

Sizing and fit notes

Zara sizing is not consistent, and anyone who shops there knows it. Tops and knitwear often come up smaller than the UK equivalent, especially in cropped shapes, where the body length can be much shorter than expected. Trousers and jeans vary between ranges: some are cut close through the hip, others sit loose and wide. Labels may show EU or S/M/L sizing rather than a UK number, and older pieces can differ from newer ones with the same size printed on them. Because Zara sizing moves around so much, ask us for the measurements of any individual piece before you buy: we measure the actual garment flat and reply the same day where we can.

For that reason we do not rely on the label alone. Every listing includes the size as marked, and we are happy to measure any individual item before you buy. Just ask and we will send chest, waist, hip, length or inside leg, whichever matters most to you.

Why buy Zara secondhand

Zara sits at the higher end of the high street and pushes out new stock constantly. That means a lot of it is bought quickly, worn a handful of times and passed on while still in good shape. Buying it preloved gets you the cut and the print without paying full retail, and it keeps a well-made piece in use for longer.

It also gives you access to designs that are long gone from the shops. Zara rarely repeats a print, so a striped or abstract top from two seasons back simply is not available anywhere else. Everything here has been checked, graded honestly and photographed as it actually looks, marks and all.

Common questions

Does Zara sizing match standard UK sizes?

Not reliably. Zara uses EU sizing on many labels, so a size 38 will usually read as a UK 10, but the actual fit can be a size out either way. We list what the label says and can measure the garment for you before you commit.Zara's Basic, Woman and TRF lines have historically been cut differently, which adds to the variation.

What condition are the Zara pieces in?

Most are graded Very good, meaning worn but with no significant faults. A smaller number are Good, which can mean light bobbling, a faded area or a small mark, and we photograph anything like that up close. Occasionally something arrives New with tags.

Is Zara worth buying secondhand given it is fast fashion?

Honestly, it depends on the piece. Some Zara fabrics, particularly thin jersey and loose knits, do not wear well over many washes, and we turn away items that have gone out of shape or pilled badly. What passes our checks is sound, but we will not pretend every Zara garment lasts a decade.

Do you get Zara coats, dresses and shoes?

Sometimes, but tops, t-shirts, trousers, jeans and knitwear are what come through most. Outerwear and dresses appear less often and tend to go quickly. Following the brand page is the easiest way to catch them.

What if the Zara piece I want is not listed?

Stock here is one of a kind, so if it has gone, it has gone. New pieces are added most days across all brands, so it is worth looking again in a day or two. You can also message us with what you are after, including your size and the style, and we will keep an eye out during our next intake.
